Beginnings….The Adoption Center at Catholic Social Services of the Miami Valley will provide you with a full range of professional adoption services. You will have the reassurance that birthparents have received professional counseling, explored their options, and voluntarily chosen an adoption plan.
Permanent, legally binding decisions can be made as early as 72 hours after birth. This allows placement without risk. If more time is needed to provide additional counseling or address unresolved legal issues, loving foster homes can provide short-term care. Some adoptive parents also choose to become licensed foster parents to allow a child to remain in one special home: Yours.
Adoptive parents receive valuable information about the unique aspects of adoptive parenting and consultation about open adoption options. Beginnings staff will be here for you after finalization, if the need arises.
The Beginnings program is committed to the highest ethical and legal standards. Careful attention is paid to ensure each adoption experience is of the highest quality. All staff members are Certified Adoption Assessors who have received extensive and specialized training in the area of adoption. The adoption program is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Services for Families and Children and licensed by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.
