Thursday, May 8 – Understanding Infant Adoption. This free training for health care professionals will be held at Southview Hospital and Family Health Center from 8:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Breakfast and materials provided. The trainer is a Certified Adoption Assessor from Catholic Social Services. The training is approved for 4.0 CEU’s for social workers, counselors, and nurses. Wednesday, May 14 – Open House at Erma’s House Family Visitation Center. On Wednesday, May 14 from noon-1:30 p.m., Erma’s House will host an informational session for community volunteers and legal/social services professionals. Staff will be available to answer questions about referral guidelines and services, as well as provide tours. A light lunch will be served. Reservations are required. Thursday, May 15 – Foster Care and Adoption Seminar. “Birthmothers’ Perspectives” will be presented from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Tri County Board of Recovery, 1100 Wayne Street in Troy. Saturday, May 17 - CSSMV Sidney Golf Outing. This year’s golf outing will be held at Arrowhead Golf Course in Minster, Ohio.
